Lyrics
Description
(verse)
Spotlights, silence, I sing for a crowd
But your eyes stood out, so quiet, so loud
In the sea of cheers, your smile was my peace
A moment, a glance, my heart found its piece
(verse)
I’ve seen the cities, the lights and the fame
But only your voice ever knew my name
A face in the crowd, yet you reached my soul
Like you always knew the boy, not the role
(pre-chorus)
You wrote me letters I never could send
But your every word felt like a friend
Behind the screens, between the lines
You gave me love before it was mine
(chorus)
You knew me first, when I was just dreams
Before the world crowned me with silver and screams
I was your comfort, you were my light
In a world of strangers, you felt right
From star to sky, from stage to verse
You didn’t just love me —
You knew me first
(verse)
I watched you rise, alone in my room
You taught me hope with each melody’s bloom
Through broken nights, your voice held me tight
Like you were singing straight into my life
(verse)
They see a god, I saw the cracks
The tired eyes behind the flashbacks
You smiled for them, but cried in your song
And I kept your secrets, all along
(pre-chorus)
You never knew, but I was there
In every silence, in every prayer
The world saw fame, I saw your pain
And loved you deeper, all the same
(chorus)
You knew me first, when I was just dreams
Before the world crowned me with silver and screams
I was your comfort, you were my light
In a world of strangers, you felt right
From star to sky, from stage to verse
You didn’t just love me —
You knew me first
(bridge)
And then we met, backstage in a blur
But time stopped breathing when I saw her
You smiled like you always knew
The boy beneath the breakthrough
(final chorus)
You knew me first, not the fame or the name
Just a heart that trembled, just a soul with flame
I was your dream, but now you're mine
We wrote forever between the lines
No longer fan and star, just us, unrehearsed
Not just in love —
But you knew me first
(outro)
You knew me…
When I didn’t even know myself…
You knew me first.
