Lyrics
Description
[Verse 1]
Well, well, here we go again,
It’s your boy Pess Pess on the mic,
This one’s for Yendi Senior High,
Where a boy like me found his light.
Back then, the nights stretched long and cold,
Struggles holding tight like old chains,
Till this school opened its gates wide,
A place to wash away the pains.
[Pre-Chorus]
Books stacked high, dreams in sight,
Teachers pushing, guiding right.
Every day a chance to climb,
Step by step, one beat, one rhyme.
[Chorus]
Yendi, Yendi, we rise and shine,
From the dawn till the stars align.
Raise your hands, let the spirit fly,
We’re the future, watch us multiply!
[Verse 2]
Oh yeah, we’re glowing, minds so bright,
Girls and boys, a river’s might,
The halls buzzing with plans and schemes,
Building futures, chasing dreams.
No pain, no gain, we keep the pace,
Living loud, love in every space.
Hear me now, I’m shouting loud,
Every day here, I’m proud.
[Pre-Chorus]
School born in ’70’s fire,
Still flowing strong like a steady wire.
Exams coming, pens at the ready,
Hearts steady, hands steady.
[Chorus]
Yendi, Yendi, we rise and shine,
From the dawn till the stars align.
Raise your hands, let the spirit fly,
We’re the future, watch us multiply!
[Bridge]
Shout out loud to the masters,
Especially our humble guide,
Mr. Fatawu, your wisdom flows,
A light on this tough ride.
And to the parliamentarians,
Voices strong, spirits high,
Theema, Rich Farid, One Don,
Ali rapping under the sky.
Big Dallas, Password, Balmini,
She Coded, Jazzy too,
Each one a star, burning through,
Together making breakthroughs.
[Chorus]
Yendi, Yendi, we rise and shine,
From the dawn till the stars align.
Raise your hands, let the spirit fly,
We’re the future, watch us multiply!
[Outro]
Dorm boys stand with hope held tight,
Long life, success in sight.
May the Almighty guide us all,
Yendi Senior High, we answer the call.
