Lyrics
Description
(Verse 1)
Five days of chalk and chatter, endless pages filled with planning,
Tired eyes and racing heart, craving just a little landing.
I dreamed of quiet mornings, coffee warm, no alarms to ring,
But now the weekend’s twisting, caught in this unexpected swing.
(Chorus)
I wanted time to breathe, to heal, to just be free,
But here I stand in training, missing what I need to see.
My weekend dreams on hold, under fluorescent lights so cold,
I’m sad, I’m tired, but I’m trying to be bold.
(Verse 2)
The lesson plans keep running through my weary mind,
While trainers talk in circles, leaving rest behind.
I picture peaceful shadows dancing on my wall,
But here I am, confined, feeling so small.
(Chorus)
I wanted time to breathe, to heal, to just be free,
But here I stand in training, missing what I need to see.
My weekend dreams on hold, under fluorescent lights so cold,
I’m sad, I’m tired, but I’m trying to be bold.
(Bridge)
Maybe this is part of the journey, a step I didn’t choose,
Though my heart aches for quiet, I’ll find my own muse.
Because even in these moments, there’s a spark that won’t fade,
I’ll turn this tired sadness into a brighter shade.
(Chorus)
I wanted time to breathe, to heal, to just be free,
But here I stand in training, missing what I need to see.
My weekend dreams on hold, under fluorescent lights so cold,
I’m sad, I’m tired, but I’m trying to be bold.
(Outro)
So here’s to weekends lost, and the strength to carry on,
Tomorrow’s a new day, and the healing will come along.
