Description
🎧 INTRO – baby D (spoken like SUGA, calm and lethal)
> We looked at each other… like we knew.
Like it was real.
But truth is?
You didn’t love me.
You loved the version that made you feel good.
And now that I became… me?
You want to leave?
Fine.
Just remember one thing:
We were never.
(beat drops – heavy, distorted, slow burn)
---
🎤 [Rap 1 – baby D (RM-style: deep, smart, sharp)]
You loved the me who didn’t ask
Who smiled in silence, wore a mask
I was a mirror, not a mind
But when I spoke — you acted blind
You praised my peace when it meant quiet
But hated my fire when I lit the riot
You liked the echo, not the scream
You loved the shell, not the dream
🎧 backing voice (Lisa whispering):
> “You liked it when I broke..."
“You liked me better soft..."
“Not loud. Not real.”
---
🎤 [Rap 2 – Lisa (J-Hope-style: rhythmic, sarcastic)]
Snap! You thought I'd break on cue
Smile, spin, cry on view
You called it “love” —
But I was your stage prop too
You liked me pretty, pain suppressed
But I'm no song for you to wreck
No rewind, no take two
I’m done acting sweet for you
🎧 backing voice (baby D):
> “You wrote the script…"
“But I set it on fire.”
“Scene’s over.”
---
🎶 [Pre-chorus – Lisa singing with cracked voice]
I kept your words like lullabies
Now I spit them back as knives
You said "forever"?
You meant "until I rise"
---
🖤 [Chorus – Lisa + baby D together]
We were never real
Just a version you could feel
You loved the shape, not the soul
You played safe, I lost control
We were never truth
Only silence in a booth
You said "us" like a name
But ran when I changed
---
🎤 [Rap 3 – baby D (SUGA-style: cold, hurt, honest)]
I wrote us in wounds
You erased me in moods
Said “don’t cry” while I bled
Said “we’re fine” while I fled
You staged this ending clean
But I lived every scene
So don’t act shocked when I say:
We were just routine
🎧 backing voice (Lisa whispering):
> “Routine…"
“Role…"
“Ruin.”
---
🎶 [Bridge – Lisa singing with pain and power]
I was enough
Until I wasn’t yours
I was real
Until you locked the doors
---
🖤 [Final Chorus – heavier, harmonized]
We were never real
Just comfort you could steal
I broke my name for “we”
but you never broke for me
We were never love
Just silence dressed above
Now I breathe,
but not for "us"
We were never
We were just... never
