Lyrics
Description
(verse)
In the heart of Donegal, where the mountains rise,
Our boys took the field, with fire in their eyes.
With courage and pride, they fought through the night,
Chasing dreams of glory, ready for the fight.
(chorus)
Oh, the hills of Donegal, sing out our tale,
Of victory and honor, we will never fail.
Beating Kerry, we raised Sam Maguire high,
With hearts full of joy, beneath the blue sky.
(verse)
From McBrearty's magic to Murphy's strong hand,
Together they stood, a united band.
With Bonner at the helm, guiding us true,
Each player a hero, in green and gold hue.
(chorus)
Oh, the hills of Donegal, sing out our tale,
Of victory and honor, we will never fail.
Beating Kerry, we raised Sam Maguire high,
With hearts full of joy, beneath the blue sky.
(bridge)
Through battles and struggles, we found our way,
With every hard tackle, we seized the day.
The roar of the crowd, echoing loud,
In Donegal's heart, we made our proud shroud.
(chorus)
Oh, the hills of Donegal, sing out our tale,
Of victory and honor, we will never fail.
Beating Kerry, we raised Sam Maguire high,
With hearts full of joy, beneath the blue sky.
(outro)
So here's to our champions, forever we'll cheer,
In the hills of Donegal, we'll hold them near.
With memories cherished and stories to tell,
Our spirit unbroken, we’ll ring every bell.
