🌿 Taqwa – The Secret to Success in This Life and the Hereafter 🌿
By: Jalal MD Tasleem Khan
Every human being seeks peace, success, and happiness in life. Some search for it in wealth, others in fame, and some in fulfilling worldly desires. But the Qur’an repeatedly reminds us that the root of true goodness lies in Taqwa β€” constantly being mindful of Allah, and living every moment with the awareness that β€œAllah is watching me.”
Taqwa is not just about fear. It’s about love, respect, and living with the constant remembrance of Allah. It means:
Avoiding sin, whether anyone is watching or not.
Speaking the truth, even if lying could bring benefit.
Staying committed to worship, even amidst the busiest life.
Allah says in the Qur’an:
> β€œIndeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you.” (Qur’an 49:13)
🌸 Taqwa – A Way Out from Hardships
Everyone faces difficulties in life β€” financial stress, emotional pain, family issues, or moments when sin feels tempting. But Allah promises in the Qur’an:
> β€œAnd whoever fears Allah – He will make a way out for them, and provide for them from where they do not expect.” (Qur’an 65:2–3)
This means that when a person adopts taqwa, Allah sends help from places they could never imagine.
🌸 The Story of Prophet Yusuf (A.S.)
The life of Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him) is one of the greatest examples of taqwa. A young man, alone in a foreign land β€” when the wife of Al-Aziz tempted him toward sin, he replied:
> β€œI seek the refuge of Allah. Indeed, He is my Master, who has treated me honorably. Truly, the wrongdoers never succeed.” (Qur’an 12:23)
He chose prison over sin. Though difficulty came first, that very prison became the path to his honor and leadership. In the end, Allah blessed him with respect, rulership, and reunion with his family.
🌸 Lessons for Us
In Business: Avoiding haram and staying honest may seem like a loss at first, but Allah brings blessing into your wealth.
In Work and Leadership: Staying away from bribery and oppression may be tough, but Allah preserves your dignity and modesty.
In Private Moments: When no one is watching, avoiding sin is the true essence of taqwa β€” and Allah gives immense reward.
In Difficult Times: Taqwa is the rope that connects us to Allah’s special help.
✨ True success is not what people see, but what Allah grants from the unseen β€” to those who remain steadfast on taqwa.
