Description
Not always what I wanted, but always what I needed.
Thank You, Lord.
I asked for silver, You gave me peace.
I prayed for the open door, You gave me keys.
Every no became a higher ground,
Even when I′m low, Your grace comes down.
Thank You, Jesus, for the blessings unseen,
Not my desire, but the gift I need.
When my plans fall, Your mercy still stands,
Forever I′m held in Your perfect hands.
I dreamed of mountains, You gave me streams,
Not the road I planned, but the path redeemed.
Every closed gate only shaped my song,
What I thought was missing was Your love all along.
Thank You, Jesus, for the blessings unseen,
Not my desire, but the gift I need.
When my plans fall, Your mercy still stands,
I′m safe in the shelter of Your hand.
Thank You, Jesus, for the blessings unseen,
Not my desire, but the gift I need.
Your ways are higher, Your will is true,
Even broken pieces You′re making new.
Every step guided, I can finally see
What I thought I wanted wasn′t best for me.
Thank You, Jesus, for the blessings unseen,
Not my desire, but the gift I need.
When my plans fall, Your mercy still stands,
Forever I′m held in Your perfect hands.
