Description
to visually convey a better feeling.
Rugby League is a game that gets in your blood.
And supporting a local team is a normal thing to do.
My local team is Featherstone, a small Yorkshire town.
The fans sing as the team runs out.
Rovers, rovers, it echoes around the ground.
Those words strike fear in all opposition.
As the rovers, rovers chant fills the air.
At one time a mining town and legend is told
if they're short of a forward then holler down the mineshaft.
And before you know it a forward has appeared.
The fans sing as the team runs out.
Rovers, rovers, it echoes around the ground.
Those words strike fear in all opposition.
As the rovers, rovers chant fills the air.
Things haven't always been easy.
The best players were sold just to keep the club afloat.
That's kept a team out on the field.
The fans sing as the team runs out.
Rovers, rovers, it echoes around the ground.
Those words strike fear in all opposition.
As the rovers, rovers chant fills the air.
Tommy Askin, Freddie Miller, Don Fox.
Three great players from the past.
Reason alone this team should survive
playing this game for another hundred years.
The fans sing as the team runs out.
Rovers, rovers, it echoes around the ground.
Those words strike fear in all opposition.
As the rovers, rovers chant.
Rovers, rovers, echo through the ground.
Echo through the ground.
Rovers, rovers, echo through the ground.
Echo through the ground.
Rovers, rovers, rovers, rovers, rovers, rovers.
