[Intro]
(soft guitar / synth) Ooh—ooh (ooooh)
[Verse 1 — Pug, 1st person]
I wake on cobblestones, stubby snout to sky,
Tiny paws, big thunder, I was born to try.
Soot on my whiskers, tail like a tiny drum,
Every bark a heartbeat — tonight the legends come.
[Pre-Chorus]
Embers paint the skyline, ash falls like confetti,
I stand on wobbling legs, my courage steady.
[Chorus — Lead, then gang vocals]
Pugs vs Dragons! (Pugs vs Dragons!)
Fire and fur — we shout it out! (We shout it out!)
Pugs vs Dragons! (Pugs vs Dragons!)
Stubby snouts, ember scales — let the whole town shout! (Shout!)
[Verse 2 — Omniscient narrator]
A dragon's breath is soot-sweet, ember eyes like coals,
Wings map the midnight, heat that shakes the poles.
He sees my little shadow, thinks me easy prey,
But I dance between his talons, wagging fears away.
[Pre-Chorus]
Moonlight catches soot and scale, a spark becomes a story,
Two small heroes in the dark, hungry for the glory.
[Chorus — Call & Response]
Pugs vs Dragons! (Pugs vs Dragons!)
Who's brave? (Pugs!) Who's fiery? (Dragons!)
Pugs vs Dragons! (Pugs vs Dragons!)
Hands clap, hearts drum, feel the anthem rise! (Rise!)
[Bridge — Turning point / Call & Response]
(Leader) A hunter's net falls from the sky — a shadow swallows light.
(Lead Pug) I see him stumble, crushed beneath the night.
(Leader) The dragon's wing folds, coal-heart cracks in fright.
(Voice) One small lick to the ember wound, I won't let him fall tonight.
(Crowd) Save him! Save him! (Save him!)
(Lead Pug) I bite the rope, I pull the knot — my teeth against the fray.
(Dragon) I shield the pup with wings of flame, we fight the darker prey.
(Bridge Chant — all)
We unite — we unite! (We unite, we unite)
Paws and claws, scales and light — sing it loud tonight!
[Chorus — Big, gang vocals, layered]
Pugs vs Dragons! (Pugs vs Dragons!)
Fire and fur — one heartbeat now! (One heartbeat now!)
Pugs vs Dragons! (Pugs vs Dragons!)
Stubby snouts, ember scales — together we are loud! (Loud!)
[Vocal Hook / Riff]
(ooooh) Pugs — dragons — na-na-na
(ooooh) Pugs — dragons — hey-hey-hey
[Outro — Intimate then soaring]
Now dawn peels back the smoke, wagging tails and soot-sweet breath,
We carved our names in skyline ash; we stared down fear and death.
Pugs and dragons, side by side, a story freshly spun,
From alley naps to blazing skies — two hearts beat as one.
(Last tag — whisper to roar)
Pugs vs Dragons! (Pugs vs Dragons!) — sing it, karaoke town.
Pugs vs Dragons! — clap, repeat, let the anthem resound.
