Lyrics

Description

I walk the beach and I swear, I see bottles everywhere,

Plastic bags in the tide, choking life I cannot hide.

Feels like we ruined paradise, drowning wildlife in our vice,

I’m sick of all these single-use lies, gotta open up our eyes.

I feel the ocean calling me, can’t ignore this tragedy,

Gotta change our ways, set it free, or we’ll lose our symphony.

So I’m sick of tossing plastic, it’s fuckin’ tragic,

Grab my glass bottle, I’m avoiding that magic—

Of single-use poison—no more complacent,

We gotta rise up, save our seas, be patient.

We fill our carts with neon packs, but we don’t see the aftermath,

Turtles stuck in six-pack rings, fish dying from these things.

We scroll for likes, but we can’t erase, the mess we make in every place,

It’s time to break the cycle, face the shame on our face.

Hear the mother crying out, can’t pretend we don’t know how,

To stop this mess, take a vow, or watch it burn right now.

Yeah, I’m tired of tossing plastic, it’s fuckin’ tragic,

Holding stainless steel, I refuse that magic—

Of one-time use disaster—no more lazy fashion,

We gotta come together, ignite a green compassion.

I won’t buy those flimsy bags, I’ll bring my own today,

I’ll pick up what I see, even if I’m on my way.

We can make it right, stand up and fight,

Together we’ll shine, turn darkness into light.

Sick of tossing plastic, it’s fuckin’ tragic,

Grab my glass bottle, avoid that magic—

Single-use poison—no more complacent,

We rise together, save our seas, be patient.
