Lyrics
Description
Lead my step, day and night, Open the doors, we carry light,
Anything with no pure foresight, Close all and fast, do light and right, Open doors only!
When I walk through shadowed halls, I lift my voice and call, You carve a path of morning gold, You catch me when I fall.
Every doorway turns to promise, Every lock becomes a key, I press on with a hopeful heart, You set my spirit free.
Open doors only! — let the blessing flood my hands, Open doors only! — guide me to the promised land, Open doors only! — keep my feet on holy ground,
Keep my feet on holy ground, Open doors only! — where grace and mercy abound, Open doors only! — where grace and mercy abound, Open doors only! — keep my feet on holy ground,
Every morning when I wake up, I do thank my Lord, Mercy did shield me like spiritual sword, Even when enemy tribe blocked my road, Jehovah stepped in everything they called, Open doors only!
Your favor breaks the silence, My life breaks every chain, A doorway carved from heaven, That turns sorrow into gain,
Game to game, With every breath I'm searching, With every step I sing, You open heaven's windows wide, And let the morning in,
A threshold of bright sunrise, A doorway made of lies, A shield around my heart, Beat through the lonely, lonely night,
When gun plunder tries to whisper doubt, Your promise wings wide open, You open doors, You open doors, And lead me as I go,
Open doors only! — hear my thankful melody, Lift me up, set my spirit free, Lift me up to walk my way, In the morning light that gets the night at light,
Lead my steps day and night, Build camps that never fail, Carry light along my way, When mercy tells the tale, Open doors only! — I'm every air to shine, I walk inside your purpose,
Forever yours, forever mine, Forever yours, forever mine,
