Lyrics
Description
[Verse 1]
Fresh rainfall, wet earth under my boots
Smell of freedom drifting through the roots
Clean jeep gleams under the morning sky
Tailgate down, dog in back, radio up high
[Pre-Chorus]
Hit that creek — the tires found the flow
By mile two she wore a muddy coat
[Chorus]
Rev the engine, let it roar
Full throttle, we want more
Split the mud like we split the sea
Mud on the bumper, wild and free
[Verse 2]
Cold beer in a cooler, sun on my skin
Dirt-road ribbon where our story begins
Boots on the dash, your grin catching light
Every splash writes a memory for the night
[Pre-Chorus]
We chase the ruts, gravel sings our song
By the next turn, we're right where we belong
[Chorus]
Rev the engine, let it roar
Full throttle, we want more
Split the mud like we split the sea
Mud on the bumper, wild and free
[Bridge]
Quiet now — I wipe the dash, your laugh stays on
Sunset sticky on our hands, the day ain't gone
Tailgate lullaby, crickets take the lead
I rest my head on yours, that's everything I need
[Chorus — lift]
Rev the engine, let it roar
Full throttle, we want more
Split the mud like we split the sea
Mud on the bumper, wild and free
[Outro]
Mud and freedom rolling side by side
In this dirt-road kingdom, love's our guide
Looking at that mud-covered jeep, pure happiness
Tailgate down, cold beer, and all the rest
Mud on the Bumper
