The most important part of a human being is the heart. It is not just a biological organ that pumps blood — it is the center of the soul, the seat of faith, and the place where light or darkness takes root.
The Qur’an and Sunnah teach us that the heart can either be alive (illuminated by the remembrance of Allah) or dead (darkened by neglecting Allah).
Allah gives a powerful example in the Qur’an. Think of dry, barren land — cracked, lifeless, and hopeless. Nothing grows on it. It looks as if it will never be fertile again. But when Allah sends down rain, that very same dead land turns into a lush, green garden full of life.
Allah says:
📖 “Know that Allah gives life to the earth after its death. We have made the signs clear for you, so that you may understand.”
(Surah Al-Hadid 57:17)
Just like the earth, the human heart also dies when cut off from Allah’s remembrance, but it comes back to life when connected to Him.

Signs of a Dead Heart
A heart that has turned away from Allah shows clear signs:
Restless, never finding true peace.
Chasing pleasures but remaining empty inside.
Hard and unresponsive — no tears in prayer, no softness in remembrance.
Wealth, fame, and power bring no contentment.
Allah warns:
📖 “So woe to those whose hearts have become hardened against the remembrance of Allah.”
(Surah Az-Zumar 39:22)
---
Signs of a Living Heart
A living heart, connected to Allah, has a very different state:
It feels peace even in trials.
It melts when hearing Qur’an, often flowing with tears.
It longs for closeness to Allah more than anything else.
It finds true joy only in worship and following the Sunnah.
Allah declares:
📖 “Indeed, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.”
(Surah Ar-Ra’d 13:28)

How Allah Revives the Dead Heart
The Qur’an describes a striking reality:
📖 “Is he who was dead and We gave him life, and made for him a light by which to walk among people, like one who is in darkness from which he can never come out?”
(Surah Al-An’am 6:122)
This shows that every heart is dead until Allah gives it life through guidance. And once alive, that heart becomes a lamp of light, walking among people with clarity, wisdom, and faith.

The Tragedy of Today’s Human Being
The greatest tragedy of our time is that people run after everything except the life of their own hearts:
They spend their days chasing wealth.
They sacrifice everything for fame.
They oppress others in pursuit of power.
Yet they forget the most urgent matter: Is my heart alive or dead?
Many look alive outwardly — laughing, eating, moving, working — but inside, their hearts are lifeless.

The True Life – Connecting to Allah
The only way to revive the heart is by returning to Allah.
1. Connection with Qur’an – daily recitation, reflection, and practice.
2. Constant remembrance – dhikr, tasbeeh, and keeping Allah in mind at all times.
3. Following the Su
