Lyrics
Description
(Verse 1)
Down at Bukit Timah racecourse, where the sun shines bright,
Three girls met, their spirits wild, under Singapore's light.
Gaye the foreman, strong and bold, with a laugh that roars,
Carol rides the tracks with fire, sweat dripping on the floors.
Catherine flying in from Malaysia skies, chasing dreams so high,
All riding through the ups and downs, under that endless sky.
(Chorus)
Oh, we’re racing hearts and holding on,
In bungalows where nights are long.
Black Russians in the Saddle Club, singing loud and free,
Gaye’s terrorizing taxis, Carol’s needing a hose-down spree.
Catherine’s flights, the pain and fights, but still they come back home,
Three girls, one love, the horse’s song, never riding alone.
(Verse 2)
Injuries and illness tried to slow their pace,
But the fire in their souls kept them in the race.
Laughing loud with Chech, karaoke nights ablaze,
Memories made in every song, in every crazy phase.
From sweat-soaked Carol to Gaye’s wild taxi rides,
Catherine’s journeys back and forth, love and grit collide.
(Bridge)
Years roll by, reunions call,
Wangaratta, Merton, Nimbin’s thrall.
Laughing, crying, stories told,
Of three wild hearts, forever bold.
(Outro)
So here’s to the race, the love, the fun,
To Bukit Timah under the sun.
Three girls bound by horse and song,
Forever riding strong, forever riding strong.
