i found your sweater draped across the chair,
a little worn, the threads curled from the wash,
your laugh still lingers in the corners there,
like sunlight caught inside a shuttered porch.
the clock ticks in a rhythm i don’t know,
spaces where your footsteps used to go,
i’m tracing lines of moments thrown away,
hoping they might turn back, maybe stay.
let me be the one you fall for again,
like morning rain coaxing blooms to bend,
i’ll learn the lines that map your skin,
and catch the whispers lost within.
hold on, let’s rewrite our faded page,
turn quiet scars into a brighter shade,
i’m here with open hands and no pretend,
come back to me and fall for me again.
i remember how your eyes could shift the night,
breaking through the silence with a spark,
there’s beauty in the way we collide,
even when the sky bruises into dark.
if words were seeds, i’d plant them deep,
grow a garden where promises keep,
no more running, no more “someday” times,
let me anchor you in these rhymes.
let me be the one you fall for again,
like morning rain coaxing blooms to bend,
i’ll learn the lines that map your skin,
and catch the whispers lost within.
hold on, let’s rewrite our faded page,
turn quiet scars into a brighter shade,
i’m here with open hands and no pretend,
come back to me and fall for me again.
i won’t ask for forever in a day,
just moments that don’t drift away,
if love’s a song, we’ll find the tune,
play it softly under the crescent moon.
let me be the one you fall for again,
like morning rain coaxing blooms to bend,
i’ll learn the lines that map your skin,
and catch the whispers lost within.
hold on, let’s rewrite our faded page,
turn quiet scars into a brighter shade,
i’m here with open hands and no pretend,
come back to me and fall for me again.
come back to me, come fall for me again,
like waves returning, reaching back to land.
