Lyrics
Description
[Intro] 16 Bars
(ambient pad, light shaker, soft hi-hat loop with filtered Rhodes chords Amin7 – Fmaj7 – G – Em7, faint reversed vocal ad-lib "mmm… don’t let go…")
[Verse 1] 16 Bars
(Tight 4/4 kick, snappy snare/clap, smooth sub bass, Rhodes + warm synth layer)
In the quiet of the night your heartbeat leans to mine
Neon on the boulevard, our shadows learn to rhyme
Every breath becomes a vow, every touch a softened sound
Hold me close, press my hand; let our rhythm spin around
[Pre-Chorus] 8 Bars
(Gentle string pad, airy synth swell, slight lift in percussion)
Strings rise up like whispered prayers,
A gentle tide that clears the air.
Layered voices warm the night —
You pull me through the dark to light.
[Chorus / Drop 1] 16 Bars
(Full drums kick, snare, hi-hats, bongos/congas, deep syncopated sidechained bassline, bright Rhodes + lead synth pluck, vocal chorus layered harmonies)
Don't let go of our love tonight,
Hold the light that keeps us bright.
Under flickering lights we move,
Hold on tight — we’ll rise above.
[Verse 2] 16 Bars
(Drop back energy slightly, remove hi-hats, filter bass, subtle guitar lick / electric piano riff)
Shadows fold as dawn draws near, but still that ember stays
Guitar hums the lines we write beneath the record's sway
Your thumb traces constellations on my wrist where futures start
Neon halo on the wet sidewalk, maps the route to my heart
[Bridge / Breakdown] 16 Bars
(Drums drop out first 8 bars, pads + vocal only, atmospheric FX, reintroduce percussion slowly)
In the silence, we remember… all the dreams we used to chase
Every moment, every ember… glowing steady in this place
Let the city drift away, just the music and our hearts—
Never broken — never apart.
[Final Chorus / Drop 2] 16 Bars
(Full energy return with chord stab synth + extra vocal harmonies, stronger sidechain pumping)
Don't let go of our love tonight,
Hold the light that keeps us bright.
Under flickering lights we move,
Hold on tight — we’ll rise above.
Don't let go... (don't let go)
Don't let go... we'll dance until daylight
(Ad-libs: don't let go — hold the light — yeah)
[Outro] 16 Bars
(Wind down groove, remove kick & hats, Rhodes + bass fades, repeat vocal hook chopped or whispered, fading reverb)
Mmm... don't let go... (whispered)
Fading out into the night,
Our love's eternal light.
