Lyrics
Description
(Verse 1)
In Petrograd’s cold, the winter's grip tight,
Workers rise, their dreams ignite.
Red banners wave, but in the dust and grime,
Silent stories lost in time.
Lenin calls, the masses heed,
But what of those whom no one freed?
In back alleys and whispered halls,
Lovers hidden behind iron walls.
(Pre-Chorus)
They spoke of equality, brotherhood’s song,
Yet silenced those who didn’t belong.
The revolution’s fire, fierce and wild,
Left shadows where love was exiled.
(Chorus)
Crimson shadows fall on hearts unseen,
Fighting for a world that forgot what love means.
They tore down kings, built a new regime,
But left the colors of the rainbow in a dream.
(Verse 2)
Rosa Luxemburg’s fierce grace,
Fought for justice, for every face.
But in the chaos, the queer erased,
In the new order, no safe place.
Comrades marched for the worker’s right,
Yet turned their backs on lovers’ fight.
The Cheka’s grip, cold and tight,
Hunted those who loved in the night.
(Pre-Chorus)
Promises made on crimson fields,
But who protects when the sword conceals?
The revolution’s heart beats hollow and stark,
When love’s flame flickers in the dark.
(Chorus)
Crimson shadows fall on hearts unseen,
Fighting for a world that forgot what love means.
They tore down kings, built a new regime,
But left the colors of the rainbow in a dream.
(Bridge)
In the name of progress, they drew the line,
Erased the lovers who dared to shine.
From the gulags cold to the city’s streets,
The revolution’s promise incomplete.
No glory in silence, no pride in shame,
History’s wounds, still call out our names.
A reckoning for those who wielded the sword,
And forgot the love that can’t be ignored.
(Chorus)
Crimson shadows fall on hearts unseen,
Fighting for a world that forgot what love means.
They tore down kings, built a new regime,
But left the colors of the rainbow in a dream.
(Outro)
So raise your voice for those erased,
For every love the state displaced.
The revolution’s story, raw and true,
Must hold the many, not just the few.
