Lyrics
Description
(Verse 1)
I watch you walk in morning light,
A world away from my eternal night.
Your laughter rings, a sunlit sound,
While I am bound to haunted ground.
My skin is cold, a marble stone,
But you make me feel less alone.
(Chorus)
Oh, can you love a creature of the shade?
A lonely monster, cursed and self-made.
Your mortal heartbeat is a fatal, sweet perfume,
My human queen, come save me from my gloom.
(Verse 2)
The crimson thirst, it calls to me,
A primal, dark necessity.
But in your eyes, I find my grace,
And lose my way in your embrace.
I've seen the rise and fall of kings,
But not the simple joy you bring.
(Chorus)
Oh, can you love a creature of the shade?
A lonely monster, cursed and self-made.
Your mortal heartbeat is a fatal, sweet perfume,
My human queen, come save me from my gloom.
