I’ve been chasing dreams through the silent skies,\nLooking for a spark in your ocean eyes.\nYou were like a whisper in the midnight rain,\nCalling out my name, again and again.\n\n(pre-chorus)\nEvery heartbeat pulls me near,\nThrough the noise, your voice is clear.\nI was lost but now I see,\nYou’re the only home for me.\n\n(chorus)\nI just wanna be close to you,\nFeel your light when the night falls through.\nIn your arms, there’s nothing I can’t do,\nBaby, I just wanna be...\nClose to you.\n\n(verse 2)\nEven when the stars fade from the sky,\nYou’re the reason why I still try.\nAll my fears, they fade away,\nWhen you smile and say you’ll stay.\n\n(pre-chorus)\nEvery heartbeat pulls me near,\nThrough the dark, your soul is clear.\nYou're the fire in my coldest day,\nWith you, I’ll never lose my way.\n\n(chorus)\nI just wanna be close to you,\nFeel your light when the night falls through.\nIn your arms, there’s nothing I can’t do,\nBaby, I just wanna be...\nClose to you.\n\n(bridge)\nNo matter how far the road may bend,\nI’ll find you — again and again.\nYou're the start, you're the end,\nYou're my lover, my best friend.\n\n(final chorus)\nI just wanna be close to you,\nForever us, just me and you.\nTake my hand, let's see it through — \nBaby, I just wanna be... \nClose to you... \nClose to you...
