[Verse 1 – Male Lead] It all started as I was lookin’ out a plane, On my way back to her, yeah, back to my lane Heart started to race, felt somethin’ inside, And no, it wasn’t the plane, it was more than the ride I hadn’t felt this in such a long time, Could it be butterflies goin’ off inside? It’s kinda crazy, believe it or not, After that day, yeah, I get ’em a lot [Pre-Chorus – Male Lead] When I know I’m gonna see her, today or next, I feel ’em heavy when my phone lights up with her text I don’t question it, I don’t even try, I just let that feelin’ take me high [Chorus – Male Lead] Butterflies, every time you come around Butterflies, lift my feet off the ground When you say my name, when you look my way, I feel ’em inside, hope they always stay [Female Response – soft harmonies] I see it in your eyes when you look at me I feel it too, boy, it’s more than chemistry [Chorus – Both] Butterflies, yeah, we both feel it inside Butterflies, every moment we collide [Verse 2 – Male Lead] I feel ’em a lot when I pull you close, Especially when I start kissin’ your neck real slow What the heck, this is so strange, I just got more butterflies, yeah, right away Just from gettin’ your beautiful text, Simple words, but they hit my chest I smile for no reason, don’t ask me why, That feelin’ starts floatin’ every time [Verse 2B – Female Response] I say sweet things ’cause I mean every word I love how you react, love how you’re stirred If butterflies are what love brings, Then let ’em fly, let ’em do their thing [Chorus – Male Lead] Butterflies, every touch, every kiss Butterflies, I can’t get over this When you’re by my side, when you’re close to me, I feel ’em inside, yeah, endlessly [Female Response – echo] Endlessly… Yeah, I feel it too [Bridge – Back & Forth] [Male] What are butterflies, that strange feelin’ inside? I hope I always get ’em when you’re by my side [Female] It’s a true feelin’, baby, that’s what it’s about Love findin’ its way, inside and out [Male] Crazy butter feelin’s, inside and out I keep on hopin’ they never burn out [Both] Hope they stay inside, never fade or die Let ’em live forever, let ’em fly [Final Chorus – Both] Butterflies, yeah, they never get old Butterflies, every story we told When you’re in my arms, when you look at me, I feel ’em inside, where they’re meant to be [Outro – Male Lead] So as I’m endin’ this song to her… Oh, there it is… I just felt another [Female – whisper harmony] Butterflies… 4ab
