Lyrics
Description
(verse)
Yo, I'm sittin' in the back, feelin' lost in this class,
Teachers yellin', "Pay attention!" but I just wanna pass.
Got my homies by my side, we crackin' jokes all day,
While the toppers sit up front, actin' all A-okay.
(chorus)
Backbencher life, yeah, it's a struggle and a fight,
Tryna make it through the day, but it don't feel right.
Teachers on my case, they just don’t understand,
I’m more than just a number, I got dreams and a plan.
(verse)
Every test I take feels like a punch to the gut,
Books piled high, man, I’m stuck in this rut.
They call me a failure, but they don’t see my grind,
Late nights with my beats, yeah, I'm one of a kind.
(chorus)
Backbencher life, yeah, it's a struggle and a fight,
Tryna make it through the day, but it don't feel right.
Teachers on my case, they just don’t understand,
I’m more than just a number, I got dreams and a plan.
(bridge)
Topper walks by, like he’s got it all made,
But deep down inside, he’s just playin’ charade.
I might not be perfect, but I’m learnin’ each day,
School's just a chapter; I’ll find my own way.
(outro)
So here’s to the dreamers who sit at the back,
We may stumble and fall, but we’re on the right track.
With every setback faced, we rise from the ground,
In this student life struggle, our voices will sound.
