Lyrics
Description
**Verse 1**
In an hour not known to man,
A trumpet will sound from glory land,
The Bride made ready, washed and clean,
By the Word revealed in this last scene.
From Luther’s light to Wesley’s flame,
Now restored back to the Word again,
A message cries, “Come out, be free,”
Prepare the Bride for eternity.
**Chorus**
We’re a people ready to fly,
At the midnight cry we’ll rise,
Changed in a moment, twinkling eye,
Meeting our Lord in the sky.
Not by might, not by name,
But by the Word that remains the same,
We’re watching, waiting, sanctified,
A people ready to fly.
**Verse 2**
The seals were opened, mysteries told,
Hidden truths now made known,
Not adding, not taking away,
But back to the Bible, the ancient way.
As it was in the days of old,
A prophet’s voice the Scripture foretold,
Pointing not to man but Christ,
The same yesterday, today, forever in life.
**Chorus**
We’re a people ready to fly,
At the midnight cry we’ll rise,
Changed in a moment, twinkling eye,
Meeting our Lord in the sky.
Not by church, not by creed,
But living every Word we read,
We’re watching, waiting, sanctified,
A people ready to fly.
**Bridge**
No denomination can take us there,
No works of flesh, no man-made prayer,
But a revealed Word in a waiting Bride,
With oil burning deep inside.
The shout, the voice, the trumpet sound,
The dead in Christ rise from the ground,
Then we which live, remain in grace,
Shall be caught up to see His face.
**Final Chorus**
Yes, we’re a people ready to fly,
Looking up, redemption nigh,
Holding fast to truth divine,
This end-time message, yours and mine.
Even so, Lord Jesus come,
Take Your Bride back home,
Till that day we testify,
We’re a people ready to fly.
